Stable natality is observed in Ufa for the third year successively. This is the achievement any other Russian city with one-millionth population can’t brag about. The head of Ufa administration Paul Kachkaev reported about it today. According to him for the five months of 2010 263 babies more have been born in Ufa than for the same period of time in 2009. The death rate reduced by 1,7% and the natality made up 430 people.
According to Paul Kachkaev not long ago the Ufa authorities started to take the number of pregnant women in the city into account along with the death and birth rates.
“The results of this statistics are rather promising” – Paul Kachkaev said — “The number of pregnant women in the city doesn’t go down, staying at the level of about 9,5 thousand. It means in the nearest future we may figure on the natality”.
