The Cyril and Methodius readings contribute to development of culture of Slavic nations in Bashkortostan
The IV Cyril and Methodius readings are held at the Moscow State Humanitarian University (Ufa division) on May 25-26 within the frames of the Days of Slavic literature and culture in Bashkortostan, organized by the Ministry of culture and national politics RB and Ufa division of the Moscow State Humanitarian University.
The Republican scientific-practical conference “The IV Cyril and Methodius readings”, devoted to various philological, historical and other Slavic humanitarian aspects, and the VII scientific student’s conference “We are in the Slavic world” have taken place yesterday.
Paying homage to the apostles and brothers Cyril and Methodius, who had invented the Slavic alphabet and acquainted the many-million Slavic nations with the world culture, the participants of the readings stated that holding of the Cyril and Methodius readings became a good tradition, contributing to development of culture of Slavic nations in Bashkortostan and underscoring the responsibility of Slavic nations for preservation and development of national languages, cultures and religions.
The approval of the resolution has become the result of the conference, which marked the positive experience of the authority and public organizations RB, aimed at preservation and development of national self-consciousness of Slavic nations. The participants of the Cyril and Methodius readings have appealed to Republican public organizations, scientific and educational institutions with the request to activate the contacts with other Russian scientific, educational and cultural centers with the purpose to support culture and education of Slavic nations in Bashkortostan.
The next V Cyril and Methodius readings and the VIII regional student’s conference “We are in the Slavic World” will be held also at the Ufa division of the Moscow State Humanitarian University in May 2011.
