The VII international festival “Moscow meets friends” started in Moscow
The VII international festival “Moscow meets friends” started in Moscow under the slogan “The Light of Hope”. It is devoted to several significant dates at once: the Teacher Year, the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, to the Year of France in Russia and to the Year of Russia in France. This is the most wide-scaled project of the Vladimir Spivakov’s International Charitable Fund. Since 2004 more than 12 thousand gifted children from 60 countries participated in it. In 2010 young talents from 33 countries arrived in Moscow.
The evening party – opening of the festival “Moscow meets friends” conquered the public with its richness and variety, brilliance and scale. Exalted people applauded to the ensemble of drummers from the Moscow military musical college “Fiesta” and to the dance ensemble “Bravo” from Odessa. The Moscow children’s chorus “The Sun” and Tatiana Letnikova from Belgorod region sang the sunny songs of Soviet era. Young dancers from Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Moscow, Moldavia, Serbia, Uzbekistan and Mexico won the hearts of the spectators with their mastery. The joint performance of young soloists, including the young Bashkir violinist Iskander Hannanov, accompanied by the chamber orchestra “Moscow Virtuosos” under the guidance of Vladimir Spivakov, has become the culmination of the evening party.
Iskander Hannanov is the laureate of many all-Russian and international contests, the winner of the “Golden Award” of the highly prestigious international TV contest of young musicians “The Nutcracker-2009” and the owner of the Special Prize of the TV-channel “Culture” in 2010.
