The chorus of the Cyril and Methodius Church in the staff of the students and graduates of the Ufa State Academy of Arts by Zagir Ismagilov has made the festive show within the frames of the days of Slavic literature and culture in Republic of Bashkortostan. The show has taken place in the Academy’s concert hall.
The chorus introduced spiritual music of the Russian composers: Peter Tchaikovsky, Alexander Kastalsky, Paul Chesnokov, Stephan Degtyarev, Michael Ippolitov-Ivanov and others: their works, devoted to the Holy Trinity and to the Holy Spirit Day.
The chorus was established under the Cyril and Methodius Church in 1995. About 30 people work in its staff for today – students and graduates of the Ufa State Academy of Arts.
It should be noted the actions within the frames of the Days of Slavic literature and culture are held in Bashkortostan during two weeks – various folklore festivals, literary and musical evening parties and concerts. All these actions are aimed at preservation and development of the Slavic culture in Bashkortostan.
