The meeting of heads of Turk news agencies in Ankara
The heads of the news agencies, found in the staff of the Union of Turk-speaking news agencies (TKA), will gather in Turkey today. The meeting will be held in Ankara on the base of the Turkish news agency “Anadolu”.
The Union of the Turk-speaking agencies also includes “AZERTAJ” (Azerbaijan), “KAZINFORM” (Kazakhstan), “KABAR” (Kyrgyzstan), “Bashinform” (Russia, Bashkortostan), “Tatar-Inform” (Russia, Tatarstan) and “Crimean News” (Crimean Autonomous Republic, Ukraine).
The goal of the meeting is widening of cooperation between the Turk agencies and deeper coordination of their joint activity. The meeting’s program includes acquaintance with the novelties in sphere of mass-media, exchanging with views etc. The participants of the meeting will become acquainted with work of the Turkish news agency “Anadolu”, with its computer center, photo- and video-news depts. and other divisions. In 2010 the news agency “Anadolu”, which is considered the main and the largest news agency in Turkey, celebrates its 90th anniversary, it is well-known all over the world. It was established in 1920 and this establishment was initiated by the key founder of the Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. At present time the agency possesses 14 regional divisions and 30 bureaus all over Turkey plus 20 foreign offices.
