The deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of culture and national politics RB Ildus Ilishev turned attention of the audience to the role of close interaction with the compatriots, living abroad, in the rise of the Republican image in the world community, taking the floor at the European Union’s Bashkir kurultay in Berlin.
The necessity of such work is grasped and supported at the federal level too now since the leadership of the country understands that as a rule the most creative people leave for abroad first and later these people can render rather substantial assistance to their nation, living in foreign countries.
“During the forthcoming III World Bashkir Kurultay (Congress) we intend to consider the actual problems for preservation of Bashkir language and culture in modern conditions” – Ildus Ilishev said – “But we have to understand that with all respect of us and our descendants to our culture and traditions we won’t be able to move further if we fail to be engaged in development of our education and to make the appropriate conditions for the rise of the Republican image in the world and for that we have to interact with our compatriots abroad”.
The European Union’s Bashkir kurultay was held for the first time in 2010. But such actions promise to become traditional in the future. According to M-r Ilishev the Republican leadership intends to develop the cooperation with the Russian Embassy in Germany and with the Russian House of science and culture in Berlin. Moreover the readiness for such cooperation is to the fore and the Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Germany Vladimir Kotenev considers Bashkortostan as the third region in the country after Moscow and Saint-Petersburg by its activity of work with its compatriots abroad.
“It is quite probable in 2011 we’ll hold the next sabantuy in Berlin” – Ildus Ilishev said in conclusion.
