The International Day of museums, approved by the decision of the General Conference of the International Museums Council in 1977, is marked every year on May 18 all over the world.
According to the long-term tradition the Museum of archeology and ethnography RB declares the 18th of May the Open Doors Day and invites all citizens of Ufa and guests to become acquainted with the unique collections located in the Museum’s halls: “The archeology of South Ural”, “The world of Bashkir culture”, “Nations of Bashkortostan” and “The Sarmatian Gold”.
The exposition, devoted to the founder of the Museum, prominent scientist and a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Rail Gumerovitch Kuzeev is opened in the hall of modern exhibitions.
On May 18 the Museum works from 10 to 17 o’clock. The entry is free for everybody.
