The International Day of intellectual property is marked today all over the world. The decision concerning its establishment was reached by the General Assembly of the International Intellectual Property Organization in 1999. Since then this holiday is celebrated on April 26 in the majority of the countries. The International Day of intellectual property is called to emphasize the significance of innovations in everyday life and in perfection of the human society and to attract the public attention to protection of the author’s rights of scientists and people of creative professions.
