Presentation of the unique 20-volume collection “The Heroes of the Home Front”, which publication was finished on the eve of the 65th anniversary of the Victory by the publishing house “KITAP”, has taken place in the news-agency “Bashinform”.
“The last 20th volume was published just yesterday” – the director of “KITAP” Zufar Timerbulatov said – “We are happy to complete this publication by the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory but the main thing is there is no such edition anywhere else in Russia. The publishing house “KITAP” is the only institution, which started and completed it”.
The whole process of the collection’s preparation and publication was under control of the Government RB. The overall circulation of “The Heroes” is 50 thousand copies; every volume is issued in 2500 copies. Every volume is more than 800 pages thick, the self-cost is more than 300 rubles, the sale price is 65 rubles, i.e. the collection was published exclusively thanks to the budget funding.
“The Heroes of the Home Front” is the monument to all people, working far away from the battlefields” – Zufar Timerbulatov said – “Whatever one may say the youngest veterans are about 80 now and the majority of them have already gone, so we’ve done everything possible to issue all 20 volumes on the eve of the 65th anniversary of the Victory”.
