The practice shows in the majority of Russian regions the real state of territories seriously differs from the maps, available in the Russian State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography Service, and this problem is especially urgent for the southern Ural region.

As the news agency “New Region” reports, the modern digital cartographic models for the schemes of the territorial planning are absent in the southern Ural register today and the head of the Russian State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography Service in Chelyabinsk region Igor Tsyganash says it is necessary to digitalize the cartographic information of the settlements in the region as it has been done in Bashkortostan earlier.

In Bashkortostan this pilot project was launched in 2007 and the means from the federal and the Republican budgets were allocated for making the realty cadastre system. The digital cartographic 1:10000 scale model for 21 Bashkir regions and the 1:2000 scale model for 30 regions RB have been made in 2008. For today these models are made for 39 of 54 regions of Bashkortostan. The automated cadastre registration system successfully works in our Republic and just few Russian regions possess similar systems in the country now.
