JSC “NEFTEKAMSKY motor-car plant” continues working u new markets in 2010. As the news-agency “Tatar-Inform” reports, at the beginning of this week the first consignment of five city buses “NEFAZ-5299” has been solemnly delivered for Samara. All buses are equipped with the engines “Cummings” and the automatic gearboxes “Voith”.
In accordance with the contract more than 50 city buses with high busload and with the ecologically clean engines of “Euro3” standard will be delivered for Samara. Local authorities hope it will be the beginning of the long-term cooperation, such as between “NEFAZ” and Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region, where more than 100 “NEFAZ” work during several years.
Some days ago one more tender for delivery of city buses has taken place in Saint-Petersburg with participation of three main Russian bus producers – “Russian Buses” (“GAZ” group), the plant “Trans-Alpha” (Vologda) and “NEFTEKAMSKY motor-car plant”. After a thorough examination JSC “NEFAZ” has won the tender. Therefore 60 low-floor buses “NEFAZ-5299-30-02” with “Cummings” engine and special options for people with low mobility will fill up the Saint-Petersburg’s bus fleet already in the second quarter of the year.
