The total sowing area in Bashkortostan will make 3,3 million hectares in 2010 – 128 thousand hectares more than in 2009. Thus, sowings of grain and grain-leguminous cultures will grow up by 3,7%. Grains will cover more than 1,9 million hectares.
The areas, allocated for the industrial crops, will be increased by 23% and in a whole these crops will cover 248 thousand hectares, including 65 thousand hectares for sugar-beet and 130 thousand – for sunflower.
The areas for oil-bearing crops, potato and vegetables will remain at the same level. 100 thousand hectares will be allocated for sowings of buckwheat, rape will cover 50 thousand hectares, soy – two thousand hectares and oil-bearing flax – 1,2 thousand hectares.
