On March 22 the President RB Murtaza Rakhimov has taken part in the all-Russian gathering re provision of housing for the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, held by the Minister of regional development RF Viktor Basargin in the mode of video-conference.
Viktor Basargin dunned that some Russian regions had already fulfilled their obligations before the veterans, including Republic of Bashkortostan, where 834 veterans and participants of the war received housing at the expense of the Republican and federal budgets, as well as the widows and members of the families of the deceased frontline men, registered before March 1, 2005.
At present time the work on improvement of living conditions for the veterans, registered after the abovementioned date, is going on. Now the list consists of 1502 people but this number can be increased.
“Not all Russian regions may boast of such state of things” – Viktor Basargin mentioned – “39 regions face certain delays on provision of the veterans with housing: the Northern Ossetia, Chechen Republic, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Krasnodar region, Astrakhan, Voronezh, Yaroslavl and Perm regions and some others”.
In conclusion Viktor Basargin has stated that “the work on provision of the veterans with housing can’t but fulfilled. This is the instructions both of the President RF and the Chairman of Russian Government and for today this is the task of paramount importance for the governors”.
