Representatives RB have taken part in the meeting of Russian Independent Trade-Union Federation General Council
Delegation fr om Bashkortostan, headed by the chairman of the Trade-Union Federation RB Amirkhan Samirkhanov, has taken part in the last gathering of the Russian Independent Trade-Union Federation General Council in Moscow, wh ere the results of Russian trade-unions’ work in 2009 and the main aims on development of social partnership in the country and on softening of the crisis after-effects for working people were under consideration.
As the news-service of the Trade-Union Federation RB reports, the General Council has approved the anti-crisis policy of Russian trade-unions in a whole. They’ve managed to avoid mass dismissals and shorten the underemployment. At the same time many after-effects of the crisis aren’t yet liquidated. In a whole 2,6 million people are registered in the country as unemployed and in several regions the unemployment has evidently stagnant character. Many unsolved problems are connected with the widening of the internal demand in the products of Russian enterprises. The conducted tariff policy, especially in the sphere of housing and communal services, has nothing to do with the population’s incomes.
The General Council offers the complex of social-economic and organizational measures, which the trade-unions have to make a reality in 2010: the minimal labor payment should be set at the level of a minimal consumer budget, wages of employees have to be regularly indexed, the period of dole payments and the amounts of doles have to be increased and it is necessary to introduce the obligatory insurance from a job loss.
The deputy Russian Minister of health protection and social development Alexander Safonov pointed to the necessity to develop social partnership in the country and since the term of the validity of the General Contract between Russian trade-unions and the Russian Government would be over in 2010 the General Council approved the concept of a new contract. In accordance with this concept Russia has to enter the post-crisis period with a new economical model, aimed at the rise of population’s quality of life, the change of the economics’ structure and at the transfer from the principle of entrails’ exploitation to introduction of innovational technologies.
