Ufa State Aviation Technical University (UGATU) again pretends to the rank of the national research institute

The Ufa State Aviation Technical University is taking part in the second contest for the rank of a national research institute. As Minister of education RB Zinnat Allayarov reported, UGATU introduced a new program on designing and putting of new modern technologies into operation and on education of the specialists, able to introduce and use these innovations.

“UGATU has all chances to win” – the Minister said – “In 2006 the University has already been the winner of the federal contest of innovational programs and that time they’ve received about 600 million rubles for development of their projects”.

“The institute, possessing the status “the national research institute” receives about 1,8 billion rubles from the federal exchequer for realization of its development programs” – Zinnat Allayarov added.

The rank “the national research institute” is given to an institute for a term of 10 years but the institute can be deprived of the rank in case its programs are admitted inefficient. According to the results of the first such contest, held in 2009, this category was given to 14 Russian institutes.
