author: Elvira Latypova

The meeting of the representatives of business circles of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan is held in Ufa, Ministry of industry and external economic relations RB, today. The delegation of Tatarstan is headed by the Tatarstan’s Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov and the deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of industry and external economic relations RB Uri Pustovgarov heads the Bashkir party.

“We’ve signed the cooperation agreement in 2002 and our aim now is to fill it with real projects and contracts” – Ravil Zaripov reported – “The staff of our delegation includes more than 20 heads of our enterprises, representing chemistry, oil chemistry, oil mining, machine-building, IT, energy-saving etc”.

“At present time we are working over the plan of actions for 2010-2012 and the project is ready” – Uri Pustovgarov said – “It is evident we have many mutual interests, which don’t cross and don’t hamper each other”.

One of the most promising directions is concerned with development of machine-building. Thus, mass production of “Fiat” cars will be launched in Tatarstan. At present time the former plant in NABEREZNYE CHELNY for production of baby cars manufactures only two its models but in the nearest future it is planned to produce up to nine models there. The plant’s production capacity will reach 500 thousand cars annually – only “VAZ” is able to produce more in Russia. Bashkortostan may join this project since rather powerful machine-building cluster is established in our Republic. It is ready for cooperation and able to supply the producers in Tatarstan with the utilities.

Our republics have many common aims in the oil sphere: stabilization and increase of oil mining due to the rise of recoverable oil, development of modern oil-processing etc. The volumes of oil mining in Tatarstan are higher than in Bashkortostan but Bashkortostan stepped further in sphere of oil-processing. Both parties are interested in the accumulated experience.

Bashkortostan searches for an investor for wood-working and currying. We have enough wood and leather in our Republic but now both wood and leather are exported just as raw materials and here we have much space for joint activity too.

Sub-contracting opens high opportunities before small, medium and large business. The center of industrial sub-contracting is made in Tatarstan, linked to the all-Russian system. It represents the internet-portal, possessing full information about local enterprises, their wares and services. The similar system is under development in Bashkortostan.

“More than 50 enterprises are ready to cooperate with Bashkortostan” – Ravil Zaripov said – And this is the readiness to work jointly”.

The next business-meeting will take place in Tatarstan.
