In 2009 Ufa’s enterprises have exported goods at 1,1 billion USD. At that machine-building equipment, chemicals, metals and metal wares dominated in the export structure, the head of Ufa administration external economic relations dept Ruslan Mirsayapov reported. According to him the external trade circulation of Ufa’s enterprises has made 1,352 billion USD – by 28% more than in 2008. JSC “UMPO”, JSC “Novo-Ufimsky refinery”, JSC “Ufimsky refinery”, JSC “UFANEFTEHIM”, JSC “Ufa plywood manufacturing plant” and the company “TRANSTERMINAL” are the biggest exporters of the city.
“76 countries were the trade partners of Ufa in 2009” – Ruslan Mirsayapov reported – “At that the trade circulation with non-CIS countries made 1,05 billion dollars and with CIS states – 302 million”.
Mineral products made the lion’s share of the Ufa export (47,3%) – mainly to Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Netherlands. The share of the machine-building in the overall export volume increased up to 37% — in 2008 the share was just 21%.
The export of chemicals made 66 million dollars in 2009 – mainly organic compounds, rubber goods and oil additives.
As for the import, the Ufa’s enterprises mainly acquired the machine-building products – 81% in the overall volume of the purchased goods. Ufa imported industrial equipment from the USA, France, Austria, Italy, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
As compared with 2008 the import of foreign chemicals to Ufa reduced three times – from 51 to 17 million dollars and made 6,8% of overall import.
52 meetings with foreign delegations have been held in 2009 by Ufa administration. Representatives of the embassies of Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Austria, business circles of the USA, China, the Great Britain, Sweden, Czechia and Japan and officials and workgroups from Ankara, Orenburg, Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk visited the capital RB last year.
