Antidrug Association is established in Bashkortostan

The RB Directorate of the Federal Drug Control Service initiated the establishment of the Association of the Non-State Drug Prevention Organizations.

Its aim is to coordinate the activity of executive agencies and non-state organizations, which implement state antidrug policy of the Russian Federation in Bashkortostan.

Besides, the organization must attract public attention to the problems of drug addiction and the necessity to develop the network of institutions dealing with social and medical rehabilitation of drug addicts. The Association will consider initiatives of public organizations aimed at improvement of methods of preventing the illegal drug and psychotropic substances taking, as well as the illicit traffic in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors.

Public organizations, charitable funds, religious confessions engaged in drug abuse prevention, promotion of healthy lifestyle and social rehabilitation of drug addicts may become members of the Association.

According to the press service of the RB Directorate of the Federal Drug Control Service, the first meeting of the Association is going to take place in March.
