The meeting with the head of “TURKSOY” Dusen Kaseinov

On February 2 President RB Murtaza Rakhimov held a work meeting with the General Secretary of the international organization on joint development of Turk culture and art (TURKSOY) Dusen Kaseinov in the Republic House.

The questions of cooperation between Bashkortostan and “TURKSOY” in sphere of culture and science and widening of the relations between artistic and public organizations were under discussion in the course of the meeting.

According to Murtaza Rakhimov Bashkortostan and “TURKSOY” have wide experience of cooperation and artistic organizations, masters of Arts and scientists of Bashkortostan actively take part in the arrangements, held under the aegis of “TURKSOY”.

“TURKSOY plays an important role on establishment of the contacts between Turk countries in sphere of culture and art, thus contributing to establishment of friendly relations. Republic of Bashkortostan is ready to support all initiatives of your organization, aimed at consolidation of friendship between nations” – Murtaza Rakhimov mentioned.

Dusen Kaseinov has reported the Council of culture ministers of Turk-speaking countries reached the decision to declare 2010 the Year of Achmet-Zaki Validi. It is expected, numerous scientific-practical conferences and cultural actions, devoted to Achmet-Zaki Validi, will be held in the Turk countries – the members of “TURKSOY”. Besides, the Days of science and culture RB will take place in Istanbul in May 2010.

Murtaza Rakhimov has highly appreciated the prospects of our cooperation and wished the guest every success in further consolidation of interrelations between the Turk countries of the world.

During the talk the General Secretary of “TURKSOY” has expressed his thanks to President RB Murtaza Rakhimov for his long-term support of the international organization and presented him the honorable medal of “TURKSOY”. The medal is given to President RB for his sizeable endowment to development of Turk culture and art.

The international organization “TURKSOY” was established in 1992 with the purpose to restore the traditions of spiritual communication between Turk nations and states. The “TURKSOY agreement” was signed in 1993 in Kazakhstan by six countries-the founders of this organization. Republic of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Tuva and Gagauzia joined the organization as the observers later.

The headquarters of “TURKSOY” are found in Ankara (Turkey).
