The Council of the heads of representative offices of Russian regions is established in Saint-Petersburg
The heads of Russian regions’ representative offices, asserting the interests of their republics and regions in the city on Neva, decided to unite their efforts and reached the decision to establish the Council of the heads of representative offices of Russian regions in Saint-Petersburg.
The Council’s Regulation is approved and the presidium, consisting of seven heads, including the head of the representative office RB in Saint-Petersburg Rif Sakhabutdinov, is elected. Along with him the Council’s Presidium includes the heads of the representative offices of other six Russian regions – the city of Moscow, Tatarstan, Dagestan, Yakutia, Khanty-Mansiysky autonomous district and Vologda region.
By the unanimous opinion the Council was headed by the permanent representative of Republic of Tatarstan in Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region Shamil Akhmetshin.
