The State Advisor under President RB Sergey Lavrentiev outlined the coverage of preparations and holding of the III World Bashkir Kurultay (Congress) as one of the strategic aims for the municipal and Republican mass-media. It is also important in opinion of the State Advisor to restore the historical justice, returning the names of prominent public and political activists, which for many decades were wrongly sunk into oblivion, to the reality and the matter is, first of all, the name of Achmet-Zaki Validi.
As Sergey Lavrentiev also supposes, special focus in connection with the preparations for the forthcoming Kurultay should be laid on wide informing of the Bashkir population, living in other Russian regions because these people have no chance to read the local press as a rule and informing with the help of internet should become an efficient source of information too.
“The site of the World Bashkir Kurultay executive committee actively works in this direction but the sites of Republican towns and regions also must have such information and at that the sites of municipal administrations should work in two state languages of our Republic, what we don’t unfortunately observe now” – the State Advisor mentioned.
Along with the coverage of the events of the III Bashkir Kurultay the Republican mass-media face many other important themes and celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 is one such topics.
“It is necessary to show this is the feast for the whole multinational population of Russia and we have to cover both the soldiers and the toilers of the home front. Thus, special edition, devoted to the home front toilers, is published in Bashkortostan and it has to be found in every regional library”.
Along with the 65th anniversary of the Victory we will celebrate the 120th anniversary of Achmet-Zaki Validi this year too and this date, sure, mustn’t be left without attention of the Republican mass-media. In connection with the jubilee plenty of arrangements are scheduled: conferences in Ufa and Saint-Petersburg with participation of the Republican, Russian and foreign orientalists, the international conference in Ufa, scheduled on the second half of the year, and other arrangements.
The next important event-2010 is the all-Russian population census, held in October and one more strategic aim of the press is coverage of the arrangements, held within the frames of the Teacher Year, announced in the country.
“Here we may raise the theme of a new school’s concept, actively discussed at the federal level now” – Sergey Lavrentiev said – “The forum of Bashkortostan’s teachers, appointed on March, will become an important event for the Republican pedagogues”.
Among other themes, offered for the mass-media, Sergey Lavrentiev outlined the 90th anniversary of Bashkir Komsomol, which is to be celebrated in autumn, and the Year of France, also announced in Russia, and within the frames of the last project many arrangements are scheduled too. In particular it is planned to translate the Bashkir epos “URAL-BATYR” into French language.
