In 2010 Republic of Bashkortostan intends to make more than 30 large investment projects for the total sum more than 48 billion rubles a reality, the deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of industry and external economic relations RB Uri Pustovgarov told in details at his recent news-conference in Ufa.
According to him they had to shutdown several projects because of the crisis and first of all it concerned the production of the Bashkir tractor “TOLPAR”. All tractor designs will be transferred to the joint-venture with the concern “AGGO”, which is to be established on the site of JSC “NEFAZ” in Neftekamsk soon.
In the nearest future the industrial exploitation of the first and the second turns of the Ufa transformer plant has to be launched and the plant on production of ceramic tile of the company “LASSELBERGER” has to start working too. Besides, organization of the production of commutation equipment at JSC “ELECTROZAVOD” is also launched.
One of the most interesting projects for the nearest future, as M-r Pustovgarov reported, is the expected production of helicopter engines at JSC Ufa engine plant” (UMPO) and 10 Bashkir enterprises may take part in the project.
The holding “SELENA” is going to put a modern woodworking enterprise with the cost of more than one billion rubles into operation. In a whole Bashkortostan intends to be engaged in woodworking quite seriously. In five years this branch is able to add about 100 billion rubles to the Republican GDP and to open 10 thousand new workplaces.
At present time Bashkir authorities negotiate with the “Czech Export Bank” about recommencement of construction of the lime-cement plant in the town of UTCHALY, which is able to produce million tons of cement.
Uri Pustovgarov also mentioned several projects in tanning industry, establishment of side-productions around JSC “POLYEF” and the expected opening of the trade center “IKEA”, which allows opening thousand workplaces and loading Bashkir enterprises with new orders. In particular, JSC “BASHMEBEL” is already prepares new sites for enlargement of its furniture production.
As the Minister mentioned, “those investors, who decided to stay in Bashkortostan, are ready to invest in the course of several years in order to receive the productions of international level”. He sited the company “LASSELBERGER” (Austria) as an example – at present time the company is busy with checkout of the equipment, training of the personnel and creation of the infrastructure. Its production will be opened in spring 2010.
