The Minister of industry and external economic relations RB Uri Pustovgarov told about prospects of innovational development for municipal formations, laying stress on the hampering factors and ways of their overcoming.

“Much is told about innovations at all levels but little is being done in this sphere in the country now” – Uri Pustovgarov said – “Bashkortostan is the only region in the country, where the law about innovational activity is approved and successfully functions. The situation with introduction of innovations here is much better than in other regions”.

According to M-r Pustovgarov 47 thousand economic agents work in the Republic at present time and innovations can be applied practically everywhere. The innovational constituent in activity of Republican enterprises grows up fr om year to year. Thus, 91 innovational enterprises have been registered in 2007, 167 in 2008 and in 2009 this figure reaches 200 enterprises.

It was stated at the seminar that 76% of the whole output, manufactured in Bashkortostan, fall on processing productions and this is very good showing as compared with other Russian regions. One of the main peculiarities of Bashkir industry is that the lion’s share of the whole supply is manufactured by the enterprises – giants (the output volume for the sum more than one billion rubles) and there are the conditions for establishment of small and medium business enterprises on the base of outsourcing around these giants, since these small companies are more susceptible to innovations. Small companies produce 2,5 times more innovational products than the big industrial giants.

Uri Pustovgarov underscored that the Republican authority made much for support of economic agents. Necessary lawful base for that is to the fore. The program of interest rate funding for innovational enterprises successfully works in Bashkortostan and the work in this direction will be continued in 2010.

The question concerning industrial parks was raised at the seminar. These parks are especially important for such towns as Sterlitamac, Kumertau and Agidel, wh ere vast abandoned areas are present. These areas can be used for development of small and medium business.
