On January 19 the President RB Murtaza Rakhimov held a work meeting with the deputy head of the Federal Custom Service Sergey Shokhin in the Republic House. A new head of Bashkortostan’s custom-house Valerie Byshovets was introduced to President of Bashkortostan in the course of the meeting. Valerie Byshovets was appointed to this post in accordance with the decree of the Russian Custom Service on December 31, 2009. Murtaza Rakhimov congratulated Valerie Byshovets with the appointment and expressed assurance that Bashkortostan’s custom-house will further work efficiently and with high coordination.
The questions of improvement of the country’s custom bodies’ activity, mechanisms of avowal and prevention of custom violations were also under discussion at the meeting.
Murtaza Rakhimov highly appreciated the work of the Republican custom-house. In his opinion Bashkortostan’s custom-house actively contributes to development of external economic relations of the Republican enterprises and organizations and improves investment attractiveness of the Republican economics.
As M-r Shokhin reported, in 2009 Bashkortostan’s custom-house has held the first place among custom services of Volga federal district. More than 12 billion 80 million rubles have been transferred to the federal exchequer by it in 2009.

Valerie Byshovets was born in Kiev in 1972. In 1966 he finished the Moscow State University of international relations (MGIMO). He started the service in custom bodies in 1990 as an inspector of the Moscow exhibition custom-house. In 2008-2010 he worked as an assistant deputy head of the Russian Custom Service.
