The Federal Service on regulation of the alcoholic market set the minimal retail price for vodka. Beginning from January 1, 2010, the minimal retail price for 0,5 liter of vodka, either manufactured on the territory of Russia or imported, is set at the rate of 89 rubles. The minimal price for vodka, bottled in the package of larger capacity, is calculated proportionally to the minimal price.
“This measure will by no means influence upon the alcoholic market of Bashkortostan” – the head of the department for protection of consumer rights and control over circulation and quality of alcoholic production RB Aibulat Khaibullin said – “The Republican trade networks don’t sell vodka, which price is lower than the fixed minimal rate. The Republican authorities strictly control the situation in the market of strong drinks in order not to let the false drinks to the shelves”.
At the same time for Russia in a whole this measure is quite necessary, the head of the department underscored. Because it is no secret that in the neighboring regions the problem of sales of false strong drinks by legal trade networks stands very sharply.
