An Ufa resident Liliya Anisimova has been awarded First National Youth Prize "Proryv" (Breakthrough) in the category "Pro-science and innovations".
The awarding ceremony took place in Moscow at Olympiisky sports complex. The President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev became the guest of honour of this grandiose event that closed the Youth Year in Russia.
Liliya Anisimova got the Prize for the development of a biological preparation for cleaning the environment from dangerous xenobiotics. The girl studies in Moscow now. The total number of awardees in 8 categories comes to 18.
20 thousand best representatives of youth aged 14-30 having outstanding achievements in 2009 came to Moscow from 81 Russian regions.
The Grand Prix of "Proryv" Award was given to the authors and developers of the first WiMax communicator — Fedor Tsarev, Alexander Shtuchkin and Eugene Yuzhakov from St. Petersburg.
