More than 10 million rubles of donations for treatment of the kids with congenital heart diseases was collected in Bashkortostan in the course of the all-Russian charitable action “Touch the child’s heart”, held on December 1-12 and initiated by the National Health League and the Cardiovascular Surgery Research Center by A.N. Bakulev. This figure was announced at the charitable concert, held at the National Youth Theater RB and devoted to the end of the action.
The action “Touch the child’s heart” is held in Russia since 1999 and originally it was initiated by the President of the National Health League, Director of the Cardiovascular Surgery Research Center and Academician of Russian Academy of medical sciences Leo Bokeria. The goal of this charitable action is to acquaint wide public with the possibility of full recovery of the congenital heart diseases and attraction of financial aid for the kids with this diagnosis.
“We started this action ten years ago because many young parents refused from their kids that time in case they had the congenital heart diseases” – Leo Bokeria explained – “We had for the first time held the action in Moscow and many Russian regions became interested in it. In 2009 it is organized in Bashkortostan – the region, which does very much for development of cardiovascular surgery. Some years ago I happened to operate in Ufa. Now I can’t but confirm that this sphere of medicine goes on rapidly developing itself here”.
“The final arrangements of the action are held in our Republic not accidentally” –the Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev said – “Stable economics of our Republic allows us to make strong social policy a reality. The expenses for development of health protection in Bashkortostan have grown up three times for the last five years, making more than 23 billion rubles every year. These means were spent for erection of dozens hospitals, clinics and other high-tech medical institutions. All that became possible thanks to close attention of President RB Murtaza Rakhimov to all questions, related to our population’s health”.
