Solemn opening of the new mosque has taken place in the village URIADY, Mishkinsky region of Bashkortostan. It is remarkable that the mosque is erected thanks to the village’s natives – Galeev’s brothers, who decided to commemorate the memory of their grandmother Khalima and named the new mosque, rebuilt from the ordinary cottage, after her. Opening of a new mosque continues the good tradition of restoration of Muslim churches in our Republic. At present time there are more than 400 mosques in Bashkortostan and the majority of these mosques are found under patronage of the Clerical Muslim Dept RB and the Central Clerical Muslim Dept of Russia. Intense erection of mosques started on the territory of our region in the XVIII century and the first mosques had been erected in Birsky province, which staff included the territory of modern Mishkinsky region and the village URIADY as well.
