USATU students reached the final of the World Programming Championship

The semifinal of the team student's World Programming Championship has ended for the students of Ufa State Aviation and Technical University perfectly.

According to the press centre of the University, fourth-year students Damir Akhmetzyanov and Dmitry Maryin and a fifth-year student Roman Nefedov represented Bashkortostan in the semifinal competition of the Northeast region in St. Petersburg and reached the final, which will take place in Harbin on February 1-6 in 2010. The trainer of the team is the associate professor of the department of computing mathematics and cybernetics of USATU.

It is worth mentioning that it is not the first victory of our students in such prestigious competition. In 2006, USATU students became bronze prizewinners of the World Programming Championship, which took place in San Antonio (Texas, the USA).
