Culture days of the Bashkirs from the Perm territory ended with the Gala concert in Khusain Akhmetov Bashkir State Philharmonic Hall. This event became a continuation of the project of Ministry for Culture and National Policy RB titled "The Bashkirs of the Russian regions" aimed at support of culture of Bashkir people living outside the territory of the republic.

A big delegation from the Perm territory consisting of representatives of state bodies, scientists, entrepreneurs, craftsmen came to Bashkortostan to participate in the Culture Days.

"This event indicates that there is an all-round cooperation between Bashkortostan and the Perm territory, which has become especially fruitful over the last year," Ildus Ilishev, Minister for Culture and National Policy RB, considers, "It is important for us to know how our compatriots feel in the Perm land. We see that the administration of the Perm territory is doing much for support of the language and culture of the Bashkirs of the Kama region."

The Culture Days themselves were preceded by long laborious work. Specialists from our republic visited different regions of the Perm territory, held master classes on Bashkir dances, playing national Bashkir instruments (kurai and kubyz) and other kinds of folk art. Thus, a small cultural revolution was made in the Perm territory by joint action of two regions.

"We want to show to our historical homeland that Bashkir people living in the Perm territory has preserved their roots," Rasil Mukhamatianov, the chairman of the executive committee of the Bashkir National Assembly in the Perm Territory, said, "We try to develop our national culture and to maintain relations with Bashkortostan. This cooperation concerns cultural, educational and economic sphere. We even advanced an initiative to open an office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB in the Perm territory. This proposal was admitted to examination, and we hope that it will be realized."

According to Alexander Protasevich, the deputy Minister for Culture, Youth Policy and Mass Communications in the Perm territory, the Baskir nation is the most numerous in the Perm territory and the management of the region pays a lot of attention to the support of its culture and traditions.

Ildus Ilishev and Alexander Pritasevich exchanged symbolic gifts right on the stage. The Bashkir delegation presented a Baskir landscape to the guests, and the present of the guests was a picture with a cultural symbol of the Perm territory in it — the Perm Art Gallery.

Creative and folk Bashkir teams of the Perm territory participated in the concert, which took place after the official part.

There was also an exhibition of the works of craftsmen, artists, entrepreneurs of the Perm territory.  Drawings of schoolchildren and photos of the famous ethnographer Sergey Rudenko were also popular among visitors of the exhibition.

Almost all regions of the Perm territory, inhabited with the Bashkirs participated in the exhibition. Representatives of Kuchuinsky, Gainsky, Bardymsky and Chernushinsky regions were especially active. This year Bardymsky region has a special status in the Perm territory. As a result of the annual competition, it was acknowledged as the Centre of culture of the Perm territory. This is another evidence of the fact that Bashkir people are very talented and creative.
