Russian Ministry of communications and mass communications jointly with ITAR-TASS, Russian State Archive and Microsoft will make the electronic archive of TASS war messages free for all internet users. The free access to the chronicles of the Great Patriotic War will be prepared by the 65th anniversary of the Victory.
According to Minister of communications and mass communications RF Igor Shegolev the online encyclopedia will contain the names of both the Soviet commanders and ordinary servicemen and information about the great battles and defense technology, earlier unavailable for wide public.
The news-service of Russian Ministry of communications and mass communications reports more than 150 000 pages of the unique archive documents will be converted into the electronic format and so powerful documentary base will become a serious protection from the attempts to falsify the history.
