Happy National Unity Day!
President of Bashkortostan congratulated citizens of the Republic with the National Unity Day, celebrated on November 4:
“Dear compatriots! Let me heartily congratulate you with the National Unity Day!
In this remarkable holiday we pay tribute to the memory and deep thankfulness to all generations of Russians, which defended our Motherland under uneasy and often the severest trials. This holiday is important for everybody, whom the destiny of the country is not indifferent for.
This amazing all-national feat, when people of different religions, nationalities and classes from many Russian regions had liberated the Fatherland from foreign invaders in one noble impulse, will stay in our memory forever. The events of those days have by right become the symbol of national agreement, revival and consolidation of Russian state. The personification of these holy patriotic traditions has brightly displayed itself in the unfading victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, which 65th anniversary we are going to celebrate in 2010.
For more than four centuries citizens of Bashkortostan serve Russian state and make weighty contribution to development of its economic power, science and culture. Here the remarkable ties of international and inter-religious agreement, friendship and brotherly cooperation between different nations of or land are to the fore and it helps us to overcome all difficulties and trials of up-to-dateness successfully.
Modern achievements of Republican economics, step-by-step development of health protection, science, education and culture and population’s level and quality of life are the convincing evidences of the rightness of the way, once chosen by us.
Let the common destiny, centuries-old spiritual and moral values and creative labor, aimed at the rise of people’s prosperity and consolidation of our Fatherland’s power and authority, unite us forever.
I wish you strong health, well-being, happiness and every success for the good of our Bashkortostan and the whole of great Russia!
President RB Murtaza Rakhimov”.
