The first arrangements within the frames of the V Congress of Mordvinian nation, which main theme is “Consolidation of Russian Mordvinians under the terms of globalization”, have taken place in Saransk yesterday. The delegates, including nine representatives of Bashkortostan, have taken part in the “round tables” to the themes “Actual problems of Mordvinian languages’ teaching”, “Ethnic-cultural cooperation: state and prospects” “Actual problems of national mass-media”, “The Mordvinian State University as the scientific-research center of Finno-Ugric nations in Russian Federation”, “Actual problems of national education”, “Ethnic-cultural education under the terms of globalization: experience and prospects” and in presentations.
In the second half of the day the guests of the capital of Mordvinia visited different regions of the Republic and local museums.
The main arrangements of the congress will start today, October 29, with the solemn opening ceremony in the building of local Russian Dramatic Theater.
Chairman of the Republican state national policy committee Alexander Luzgin gave an interview to the representatives of the Mordvinian mass-media the day before. He reported about 450 participants from 23 Russian regions expected to arrive in Saransk – 315 delegates and 120 observers. The Hero of Russia Nikolai Antoshkin, the former Minister of internal affairs RF, well-known businessman Andre Dunaev and actor Nikolai Chindyaikin are in the list of honorable guests. The main slogan of the congress is “Consolidation of Mordvinian nation under the terms of globalization”.
Detailed preparation for celebration of the 1000th anniversary of Mordvinian nation’s unity with other nations of Russian state will become one more direction in work of the congress. The celebrities on this occasion will be held in 2012. The usage of the newest technologies in activity on preservation of traditional Mordvinian language and culture will become one more task of the congress. The congress will be working till October 31.
