The annual greengrocery fairs are close to the end in Ufa and as the Ufa Mayor Paul Kachkaev reported at today’s operative meeting in Ufa administration, the fairs in the forthcoming weekends will be the last ones in 2009.
“Because of cold weather sales of vegetables in the streets are becoming inexpedient” – the Mayor said – “So we are going to start butchery business in November”.
In the fair days about two thousand trucks came to Ufa squares to sell vegetables and in spite of the crisis the prices were by 20-30% lower than in 2008.
