Situation with problematic enterprises in the town of Oktyabrsky was under discussion at the field meeting of the situation commission of Ministry of industry and external economic relations RB, held in this town.

Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev, his deputy – Minister of industry and external economic relations RB Uri Pustovgarov and Minister of land and property relations RB Oleg Klinsky participated in the gathering.

Although for nine months 2009 the index of industrial production in the town made 101%, 75% of arrears of wages of Republican industry fall on the enterprises in Oktyabrsky. Seeveral local enterprises failed to stand the crisis but the main reason was inefficiency of their owners’ management, the Prime-Minister mentioned.

Thus, the “Oktyabrsky leather factory” will be put up for auction on November 15 and the main reason is inefficient management and as a consequence the shortage pf raw material.

At the “Oktyabrsky porcelain plant” the situation is quite standard for the majority of owners, who built up their business, figuring on just a momentary profit. The plant possesses modern equipment but it isn’t properly used. The floating assets aren’t filled up. It is decided at the meeting to allocate 10 million rubles in order the plant would be able to reach full load.

Same problems are observed at many other enterprises – practically all objects have normal work conditions, solid material and technical base and modern high-tech equipment but its management fails to meet the demands of today’s market. The position of many owners can also be called apathetic and the law permits to undertake certain steps with respect to such businessmen and the procedure of external control is one of such measures.  Such measures will be definitely undertaken because stability in the town depends on stable work of local enterprises as well as stability in the Republic and, finally, in Russia.
