More than 63 thousand foreign passports were given out in Bashkortostan in 2009

For nine months 2009 employees of Russian Federal Migration Service in Bashkortostan gave out 63120 foreign passports. Specialists say the number of people, who would like to receive foreign passports, is lower in 2009 than before. For the same period of time in 2008 citizens of Bashkortostan have received 88754 passports.

The Migration Service states that the foreign passports of a new generation are becoming more and more popular. Thus, 7200 such passports had been given out in 2008 and in 2009 citizens of the Republic have already received 31392 passports of a new model.

At present time foreign passports are registered in several districts of Ufa, in the towns of Belebey, Beloretsk, Birsk, Mejgorie, Neftekamsk, Oktyabrsky, Salavat, Sterlitamac, Sibay and in Kiginsky region of Bashkortostan.
