Gernot Erler: “We intend to consolidate friendly relations between Germany and Bashkortostan later on”
The letter of the deputy Minister of foreign affairs of Germany Garnet Erler is addressed to President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov. The deputy Minister congratulated him with the 45th anniversary of the friendly exchange and with the 40th anniversary of the Friendship Society “Germany-Bashkortostan”:
“Dear M-r President! Thank you for your active support of the friendly exchange between Federative Republic of Germany and Republic of Bashkortostan.
Today Germany and Russia are bound with intense cooperation in political, economic, cultural and public spheres. There are close interrelations between our states – from exchanges with pupils up to extended trade-economic contracts.
We are constantly face new challenges in the modern world, which can be managed only jointly with our partners in the United Nations Organizations and G8. Germany and Russia play important role, having global liability, and at that both Germany and Russia are the partners, able to obtain mutually beneficial advantages from our strategic cooperation. In order to gain closer interaction we have to overcome the still existing prejudices and to learn from each other to disclose and realize our common values. The exchange on the line of civil society will help to establish contacts and thereby to improve mutual understanding. The blood brotherhood relations between such cities as Halle and Ufa are the evident example of that.
I am quite certain that we will henceforth consolidate the friendly relations between Germany and Bashkortostan”.
