On September 25, the Bashkir State Academic Drama Theatre (BSADT) n.a. Majit Gafuri opens the 90th theatrical season. For Ufa residents and guests of the city the theatre prepared the performance "Flying over the cuckoo's nest" after the novel by Ken Kesey staged by Airat Abushakhmanov.
According to the BSADT, due to some objective reasons the performance was not played for a year and a half, and its "comeback" to the stage is an important event not only for the theatre itself but also for the whole theatrical life of the republic.
Despite its short stage life, the performance "Flying over the cuckoo's nest" was awarded to the grand prize at the IV International festival of Turkic-speaking theatres "Tuganlyk". For the first time in history of drama theatres of the republic it was nominated for the national theatre award "Golden mask" and was given the best possible references of critics at the festival "Real theatre" in Nizhny Novgorod. In October, the leading actors of the theatre will represent this performance in Minsk at the International theatre festival "Panorama".
