CITOGIC-2009 is opened in Ufa
The Congress “CITOGIC-2009-Ufa” is opened in Ufa Congress-Hall today. CITOGIC is the annual international forum, presenting new technologies in oil ad gas industry, power-engineering and communication. The congress is dedicated to strategic guidelines of technological development of Russia as one of the global power-engineering states. “CITOGIC-2009-Ufa” is held under patronage of President RF and the UNO Committee on industrial development. It is organized by the Academy of technological sciences RF, JSC “GASPROM” and several largest oil-gas, building and financial corporations of the country. Representatives of “GASPROM” top management, heads of “GASPROM” regional divisions, scientists and other specialists are taking part in work of the congress. President RB Murtaza Rakhimov, chairman of State Council RB Constantine Tolkatchev, Prime-Minister of Government RB Rail Sarbaev and other top officials RB are in the list of honorable guests.
“CITOGIC” is held in Ufa for the second time. For the first time the Republic received the congress ten years ago. After that the forum was held in Astrakhan, Kazan, Tomsk, Saint-Petersburg and Khanty-Mansiysk.
President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev sent a complimentary address to the participants of CITOGIC-2009, where it was said in particular that “efficient development of Russian power-engineering is the key direction in modernization of our economics. Its success is directly related to wide introduction of progressive technologies and here it is vitally important to activate the innovational potential of Russian science, using new designs of Russian scientists and engineers. And, sure, we have to deepen our co-operational relations with foreign partners. I hope the decisions, reached in the course of the congress, will really contribute to the rise of competitiveness of Russian fuel-energy complex”.
President of the Academy of technological sciences RF Boris Nikitin said, speaking before the participants of the congress: “Every congress includes its own scientific program and technological aspects of that region, where it is held. For example, the aspects of technological development in the north-western region of Russia were under discussion in Saint-Petersburg. Here the technological priorities of Bashkortostan will be in the focus of attention. We know that Bashkortostan is considered the second Baku and many prominent oil and gas researchers and workers came out from this land”.
President RB Murtaza Rakhimov said, welcoming the participants of the congress that this forum was held in Ufa for the second time (first Ufa received the congress in 1999) and for the last decade Bashkortostan made a wide step forward. The fuel-energy complex plays the leading role in economics of the region. President RB told about those works, performed in sphere of oil mining and oil processing. At present time Bashkir oil workers work on the last 160 oil deposits and the main task now, since the problem with mining of difficult-to-access reserves of oil and gas is to the fore, is to hold the oil-gas mining volumes due to the usage of modern methods of increase of recoverable oil output at high enough level. Thanks to introduction of modern designs the annual oil output in Bashkortostan is stabilized at the level of 11-12 million tons. Further President RB turned attention to the high-tech level of oil-processing at Ufa oil refineries. The index of oil-processing depth in Bashkortostan reaches 82,3% under the average all-Russian index at 72%. By 2012 this index will reach 94,8% due to modernization of existing production capacities and the level of power-engineering safety in Bashkortostan is one of the highest in Russia.
The program of the congress includes three plenary sessions, scientific-technical sessions “New technologies in gas industry”, “New technologies in oil and oil-processing industry and in power-engineering”, the building assembly, the IT assembly and the business club “Investments, financial-economic and bank technologies of real sector of Russian fuel-energy complex and social technologies”.
