The project “Social card” is solemnly opened in the town of Roslavl, Smolensk region. The project is designed by the example of “The Social Card of Bashkortostan” and realized in the region by the bank “URALSIB”, reported by the bank’s news-service.
Introduction of the e-cards helps to make the system of social preferences more transparent and that in its turn leads to lowering of the load on local budgets.
“The project “Social card” is successfully developed by the bank “URALSIB” since 2006” – the deputy President of “URALSIB” Ilia Filatov reports – “At present time the project is introduced to Bashkortostan in the most successful way and “Social Card” proved its efficiency in Ivanovo region too”.
Social card is the e-key to the information about personal data of its cardholder, available in departmental databases. On the base of one single identifier it is possible to use various applications of the social card, such as transport, medical, social, tax, pension, discount and bank applications for obtaining different federal and regional services by a cardholder.
The project is actively introduced in Bashkortostan now – 25 thousand people have already received the first social cards. The agreement between the Russian Pension Fund and the bank “URALSIB” was signed in August, 2009, and within its frames the cardholder may get the information about sums and pension savings with the help of the pension application.
In Ivanovo region the project is found under realization since 2007. At present time about 150 thousand people (mainly pensioners) have already received the cards.
The bank started the project in Smolensk region (Roslavl) since July 2009. The transport, bank and social discount applications of the social card started functioning in this town in September.
