The letter from the chief rabbi of Russia Berl Lazar entered to the address of President RB Murtaza Rakhimov with the words of congratulation with the holiday of Rosh-a-Shan:

“Dear Murtaza Gubaidullovitch! With all my heart and soul let me congratulate you with the holiday of Rosh-a-Shan – the Jewish New Year. On this very day the God had created the first human beings – Adam and Eva 5770 years ago. In accordance with our religion a man is as if created anew in every New Year, receiving new powers and abilities to do his duty before the Creator and his folks in order to improve the God’s world.

The last year has become the time of heavy trials for all of us and especially heavy problems arose before those people, on whom the great responsibility for the country lied. But we believe that the God sends us these difficulties in order when overcoming them we would find new abilities in ourselves, thus becoming stronger and wiser. Our community closely watches how you solve the arising problems and we are happy at your successes and today we are praying for the period of the trials would be over in the forthcoming year and we do hope the God will give you and all of us everything we need for a good life and we will use these opportunities to provide all other people with everything necessary.

I wish you happy New Year and let the God will give you strong health and full success in your laborious activity for the good of all citizens of your region for the good of our common Motherland Russia” – said
