President RB Murtaza Rakhimov will take part in a meeting of the “Big Ural” Association Council

President RB Murtaza Rakhimov will participate in a meeting of the Council of the interregional association on interaction between Russian regions “Big Ural” at the head of the official delegation RB on September 22 in Yekaterinburg. The staff of the delegation RB also includes chairman of State Council RB Constantine Tolkatchev and Minister of economic development RB Eugene Evtushenko.

Social-economic situation in Ural regions will become the main theme of the forthcoming discussion. The questions, connected with overcoming of the crisis’s after-effects and joint actions on overcoming of the crisis phenomena will be also under discussion.

The Plenipotentiary of President RF in Ural federal district Nikolai Vinnichenko, governors of several regions in the staff of Volga and Ural federal districts, speakers of regional legislative assemblies, directors of local enterprises and scientists will also participate in the meeting.

Participants of the meeting intend to discuss the report of the Sverdlovsk region Governor Edward Rossel “The experience of the regions of the interregional association “Big Ural” on the way out of the crisis” and to consider the perspective plan of the association’s work.

The interregional association on economic interaction between Russian regions “Big Ural” was established in 1991. The association unites Republic of Bashkortostan, Udmurt Republic, Kurgan, Orenburg, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk and Perm regions.

The goals of the association are: assistance to economic development of Ural region through organization of partnership between the state, business, science and investors; the rise of Ural enterprises’ competitiveness; consolidation of interregional and branchy relations on the territory of Ural, with other regions of Russia and with CIS countries.

Sverdlovsk region Governor Edward Rossel is the President of the association.
