About 100 Muslims in Bashkortostan are occupied in religious education, the deputy chairman of the Clerical Muslim Dept RB on educational issues Ruslan Sayakhov reported.
“Close attention is paid to development of religious education in the Clerical Muslim Department of Bashkortostan today” – he said – “About 50 people study at three madrasahs – two in Ufa and one in Sterlitamac and this is the first direction of our activity. The second direction appeared not long ago – it presumes training of lawyers on the base of the Bashkir State Pedagogical University with deeper study of Islam. The third direction is the training courses abroad. Thus, 50 students from Bashkortostan study at Cairo University. At that they receive religious education both at the International Islamic University Al-Azhar and at Cairo University at the same time”.
