Bashkir soloists take part in international project

The international organization TURKSOI is going on working over the unique project — staging of opera "Keroglu" of the famous Azerbaijani composer Uzeir Gadzhibekov. Opera singers and ballet dancers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan take part in the project. The opera is created after epos of the same name which is popular among many Turkic nations. Image of Keroglu personifies people's ideal of a fair ruler and a hero.

The well-known Bashkir soloists Rail Kuchukov and Albina Gabidullina take part in the opera staging. The opera's first night was at the Kyrgyz National Academic opera and ballet theatre n.a. A. Maldybaev.On September 12, the performance took place in Alma-Ata, where our ballet-dancer Albina Gabidullina was at her best acting one of the leading parts — Nigar. On September 15, the staging of opera "Keroglu" will take place in the capital of the Republic of Turkey. Bashkir soloist Rail Kuchukov will play in it one of the leading parts — Gasan-khan. The work of Bashkir choristers Rosa Kuchukova, Vera Romashova, Svetlana Khalikova, Rinat Rakhimov, Albert Akhunov, Madania Akchurina was also highly estimated by the organizers of the event. It is noteworthy that representatives of different countries appear on the stage wearing their national costumes.

On September 18, the "Kerogly" opera will open another season of the Azerbaijani State Academic ballet and opera theatre. It was the place where this opera sounded more than 70 years ago for the first time.
