The program of Byelorussian delegation’s visit to Bashkortostan started with the official meeting with Minister of building, architecture and transport RB Ravil Ibatullin. Byelorussian delegation is headed by Minister of architecture and building of Byelorussia Alexander Seleznev.

The parties shared general information about social-economic development on their territories and concentrated themselves on the aspects of mutually beneficial cooperation in economic sphere.

Alexander Seleznev expressed hope the official negotiations and the business-meeting would contribute to activation of trade-economic relations between Bashkortostan and Byelorussia. He said that in the past Byelorussia actively exported refrigerators, transport vehicles, agricultural machines, furniture and laundry washers to Bashkortostan.

“Unfortunately, the financial crisis adversely affects the dynamics of our trade turnover in 2009 and the current indices don’t meet the interests of both republics and don’t contribute to progress in our economic spheres” – the head of Byelorussian delegation said – “So Byelorussia intends to make all possible to restore the former positive dynamics in our mutual trade”.

Several promising investment projects stand in the plans of Bashkortostan and Byelorussia. Thus, as Alexander Seleznev confirmed, the Byelorussian party has become acquainted with the offers RB and welcomes the intention to establish a joint venture for production of tractors “Belarus” on Bashkir territory. The mutual plans also include the assembling of frontlifts, mobile diesel electric stations, modernization of agricultural machinery, made in Byelorussia and re-equipment of the harvesters “Case” with the engines, made in Byelorussia. Besides, Byelorussia intends to supply Bashkortostan with building materials and framed wooden houses, made of solid glued woodblocks for its actively developing low building.
