The IV interregional festival of Finno-Ugric nations “VORSHUD” (“clan’s sanctuary” translated from Udmurt language) will be held in Republic of Udmurtia on June 19-21. Ceremonial songs and dances of Finno-Ugric nations will be demonstrated there and folklore-ethnographic groups from Udmurtia, Komi, Mari Al, Chuvashia, Tatarstan, Nenets autonomous district, Perm region and young folklore specialists from Russia (Moscow, Kurgan and Archangelsk), from Estonia and Hungary will take part in it. Bashkortostan will be presented by the national folklore group “Nightingale” from the village VYAZOVKA. The festival is held within the frames of the federal goal-oriented program “Culture of Russia” and its solemn opening will take place today at the State National Theater of Udmurt Republic.
