Festival of Udmurt culture is held in Bashkortostan today

Festival of Udmurt culture is held in Bashkortostan in the village NOVYE TATYSHLY today and representatives of six regions RB and guests from Udmurtia and Perm region are participating in it.

“The festival is traditional but its content changes every year” – the director of the Udmurt historical-cultural center Antonida Shaibakova tells – “For instance, last year it was devoted to Udmurt ceremonies and prayers and this year it is dedicated to folklore and we are going to hold the conference, dated to the 10th anniversary of the Udmurt Republican newspaper RB “OSHMES”. The first festival was held in 2007 and that time it was decided to hold it once in two years. 14 amateur folklore groups are taking part in the festival this year”.
