Supervisory Council of Russian Nanotechnologies Corporation (ROSNANO) approved participation of the corporation in the project on organization of serial production of electrical-chemical lathes for sensitive manufacturing of the details from nano-structural materials and nano-metric surface structuring.
The project is prepared at Ufa State Aviation Technical University by the team, headed by Professor Zaitsev. This is the first project, financed by “ROSNANO” in Republic of Bashkortostan and the tenth project, approved by the corporation.
“ROSNANO” news-service reports the electrical-chemical lathes are meant for sensitive nano-metric metal processing, including hard alloys and nano-structural materials. The technology, used by the lathes, is comparative with the technologies of leading world producers and by such parameters as processing accuracy, productivity and exploitation price, surpasses world leaders. Besides, thanks to the software, designed in Russia, the possibilities for surface processing are to a great extent expanded. The lathes can be used for production of implants and surgical instruments as well as for production of complex details from high-strength materials, used in aviation engines and energy turbines.
Production of such lathes in Russia is practically absent. The design office will be opened for production of such lathes. The corporation “ROSNANO” (39,8% of authorized capital stock), a co-investor (35,1% of authorized capital stock) and the small innovational enterprise “Titan-ESM”, founded on the base of Ufa State Aviation Technical University (25,1% of authorized capital stock) will become its participants. The overall sum of investments from “ROSNANO” will make up 154 million rubles. The lathes were demonstrated at the VIII exhibition “Lathes and Instruments”, held in Ufa on February within the frames of the IV innovational-industrial forum.
