Ministry of internal affairs in RB and leaders of traditional religions in Bashkortostan signed cooperation agreement during today’s field meeting of the Public Council under Ministry of internal affairs in RB, held in the conference-hall of Ufa mosque “LALA-TULPAN”. The document is signed by Minister of internal affairs in RB, police Mayor-General Igor Aleshin, chairman of the Central Clerical Muslim Dept RF, Supreme Mufti Talgat Tadguddin, the head of Ufa eparchy, Archbishop of Ufa and Sterlitamac Nikon, chairman of the Central Clerical Muslim Dept RB, Mufti Nurmukhamet Nigmatullin and the head rabbi RB Dan Kritchevsky. The agreement is signed “with the purpose to revive the spirituality, based on traditional moral values”. “Terrorism, extremism, corruption, drug addiction, immorality and activity of totalitarian destructive sects and satanic cults, directed against personality are based on the false understanding of liberty of conscience, religious liberty and human rights as permissiveness and dissipation” – said in the document.

The parties mark that the agreement makes it possible to use the spiritual potential of traditional religions in order to strengthen public stability, to overcome the threat of “national spiritual degradation” and to lower the level of criminality in the country, for harmonization of international and inter-religious relations in the country.

In accordance with the document the permanently working coordination council will be established and it will be headed by the chairman of the Council for religious affairs under Government RB and by one of the deputies of Minister of internal affairs in RB.
