M. Nesterov Art Museum is included in Top Five best museums in Russia
The analytical agency Turstat published a rating of the Best Art Museums in Russia. The M. Nesterov Bashkir State Art Museum hit the Top Five and took 4th place in this list.
TurStat rating is headed by the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan. The following are institutions from Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
Recall this year, the M. Nesterov Art Museum celebrates its 100th anniversary. This is one of the oldest museums in Russia: founded on November 5, 1919, opened on January 5, 1920. In 1954, the museum was named after its founder — a native of Ufa, an outstanding Russian artist, academician of painting, Honored Artist of the RSFSR Mikhail Vasilyevich Nesterov (1862–1942).
